How hard is it to install a new graphics card?
If you can use a screwdriver, then it’s quite easy. The new card will come with an installation guide. but: Uninstall the drivers for the old card BEFORE removing it. Make sure you push the new card in FIRMLY, and that the clip locates properly (if one is fitted). When Windows comes up with “Found New Hardware” close the box (or click cancel). Just install the drivers from the CD, or, if like me you’ve visted either NVidia or ATI’s site and got the latest version of the drivers, install them instead. As with everything computer related – If in doubt, don’t do it. Get someone who knows what they’re doing to install it.
