How hard is it to install a hardwood floor?
Engineered hardwood flooring is not particularly difficult to install assuming that you’re doing a floating or semi-floating instalation. The most challenging part, for me at least, is doing the trim and some of the more difficult corners and transitions between rooms. The main body of the floor will go down quickly and with minimal effort. Read up on some DIY sites about the specific type of flooring you’re going to put down and then set a couple of days aside to get it done. It’s really not that bad a project for the average handy home owner. Sphinx, that’s a bit more difficult. Usually you have to cut the offending piece or pieces out with a circular saw and then nail the new ones back into place. You can hide some of the nail holes, but if you look carefully you’ll probably still be able to find the place where the repair was made.
