How hard is it for a beginning appraiser to get a job?
The first job is the hardest. Few appraisers want to take the time to train a beginning appraiser properly. Also, few beginning appraisers are willing to take the time to pursue a job properly. When you get the experience, jobs are easy but getting that first job is hard. A person who has an appraisal contact or who can get his own business will do best in the beginning. When you get that first job, though, you’ve started in the most fun career imaginable and they even pay you.
