How happy were Frank and Catherine?

Many fans of the show speculated about the almost platonic nature of the Black marriage, mentioning that you rarely saw them touch or kiss, and not once had it been suggested that they had a healthy sexual life (with the exception of the bedroom scene in Paper Dove).
