How green are New Discovery Bricks?
A New Discovery Brick home provides high levels of insulation, strength and is extremely airtight. The amount of energy used to heat and cool a home can be cut by up to 85 percent. The polystyrene insulation used in New Discovery Bricks is lightweight rigid foam composed of 95% air, and is recyclable. The foam insulation made using a non-CFC blowing agent that does not threaten the earth’s ozone layer and does not emit noxious gasses. The OSB used is made from sustainable sources using 90% of new growth trees. New Discovery Bricks are engineered in a factory and made in standard sizes which translate to be less jobsite waste that needs to be land filled.
