How good of a job do you feel that Steve Bruce has done at Wigan?
Steve Bruce is a good manager and a good guy, but everyone has done a good job there. Wigan are a very similar club to ourselves. They have done really well and find themselves three points above us on 41 points. It’s a big game from our point of view. They are our near neighbours and they beat us at the Reebok earlier in the season in a game that was decided by a penalty which was more of an accident that intent. Plus, in the last minute we had a goal not given when the ball was over the line. Saturday will be another tight game and we will want to redress the balance. Wigan have been finding goals hard to come by of late, does that fill you with confidence? What fills me with confidence is watching our players play and train, not other people’s. I saw the match between Blackburn and Wigan, and whilst they might have found goals hard to come by, they were creating chances. It was just one of those games for them.
