how good is the quality and durability of the 1996 jeep grand cherokee?

I have my eye on a well maintained 1996 grand cherokee with 171,000 miles, rebuilt transmission, immaculate inside and out A: well if it has the rebuilt trans and is immaculate. I would get it. My 95 has 158,000 on it and it needs a new trans. other than that and a few oil leaks, it has been a great SUV. It has an inline six, 4.0 cyl and gets an average of 22 MPG on both city and highway. It has been a great truck that will go over alot of tough terain and there is enough room to haul people or stuff and there is a lot of leg room in the back. I have heard of people with these things lasting over 300,000 miles so I would go with it. They can also tow a pretty big amount with a towing package. GOOD LUCK!
