How good is cognitive behavioural therapy?

CBT is a hands on therapy in that you will be given tasks to perform and will have homework. It doesn’t really focus on the past and it doesn’t work for every type of problem. What it can do is change your habits and the way you see things. It definitely works for people with eating disorders and weight issues. You are anxious and phobic. Is your anxiety caused by your phobias or are you feeling anxious anyway? Anxiety is related to depression and being depressed can lead to so many other things like your confidence being affected or that you do not feel in control. I do feel you need to empower yourself and CBT will help with this. Good luck, I hope this is the solution for you but remember to be absolutely honest.
