How good is an Indian CFA vis a vis US CFA?

I can’t really comment on any others related to the MBA, as they are of different focuses and it depends on the school. However, I can say that US CFA is generally regarded higher than ICFAI, and definitely higher than CFP. CFP deals mostly with personal financial planning where the other two deal with corporate finance and asset valuations. Two different careers, but the CFA is without a doubt the harder to earn. The ICFAI is regarded highly – in India. The US CFA is regarded higher in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and even in well regarded in India. If you plan on staying in India I would advise ICFAI, but the US charter is really more of a global designation.
