How good are the Chevy 4L80E transmissions?
They are very good transmissions. I’d say it really depends on what engine and vehicle it is being used in and the amount of city vs highway driving. The short answer is probably 150k-200k if you take good care of it (proper transmission fluid\filter changes at recommended intervals). If your putting some monster 400+hp engine behind it, do mostly city driving, or just generally beat the snot out of it It won’t last as long unless it has been upgraded with aftermarket parts.
