How good are Schecter guitars?
schecter makes excellent guitars as good as BC rich and better than dean And not just the cheaper models! Schecter got its start way back in the 70s as a parts company. They made every possible part for just about any guitar that was out at the time and specialized in replacement necks and bodies. they still offer guitar kits that allow you to assemble a complete strat style guitar with many choices of body types and neck choices including routing for humbuckers to different size frets on multiple choices of finger boards. About the end of the 90s they started marketing complete already built and finished guitars on a limited basis. This has since become a major market for them and they have been building many types of complete guitars. Since they make all the components and assemble them too, they can offer an astoundingly high quality for a very competitive price. They have been around as long as BC rich and longer than dean but to my knowledge have never gone out of business once. (
