Listen. There are some good ones, and some scams. Many of them will ask for some sum of money up front (like $40) and will present the perceived ability to search for vehicles and such, but when you pay the money, you’ll discover that no such search functionality exists, except for non-government ebay stuff and that 20-80% of the links they provide don’t work or are not even government auctions. There are others that will allow you to register for free, but they will not give you access to government auction information (but only to private auctions) until you begin pay them a monthly or annual fee. The good ones, in my opinion, are the ones that will give you an ability to preview everything to the fullest with a free trial before you pay them anything, not even $1, and the only one of these that I’ve been able to find and am recommending now is Governmentauctions.org.
