How funny is the JibJab video for the 2008 Presidential election?
I assume that you are referring to the JibJab original video titled “Time for Some Campaignin’ “. I had seen this video before and just watched it again to refresh my memory. I think the videos from 2004 were funnier. Maybe it’s just because it was easier to laugh in 2004! But I also think there is something funnier about Bush, Cheney, Kerry and Edwards. Whatever you political leanings this guys were easier to lampoon. Bush’s questionable intelligence and his Texas accent, Cheney’s abrasive personality, Kerry’s manner of speaking, and Edwards good looks. Obama and McCain just are not as funny. Obama doesn’t have any quirks to make fun of other than saying “Change” so many times the word has lost all meaning. And McCain’s most notable feature is his age. 2008 would have had more comic gold if Hillary Clinton was the nominee because JibJab would have had more reason to work Bill Clinton into the videos.
