How frequently is environmental data reported by operations / business units to the Group?
SKF has a network of 24 EHS Country Coordinators, who meet at least annually to discuss EHS improvements. EHS Coordinators in each country submit quarterly reports to Group Headquarters, summarising environmental, health and safety activities at the SKF units in that country. Energy consumption and associated carbon dioxide emissions are monitored quarterly. Safety statistics are also monitored quarterly by Group Headquarters. The Group’s ISO 14001 environmental management system requires that environmental accidents be reported to corporate staff within 48 hours. Such events are rare and there were none in 2000-2006. Data for other parameters, as shown in the Sustainability section of the Annual Report, is reported annually. Click here for SKF Annual Report archive.
