How football racism have affected sports?
Used to be there were no pro black QBs. Just a few years ago, Rush Limbaugh had to leave Monday Night Football after suggesting that the media was hyping Donovan McNabb because they wanted a black quarterback to succeed so desperately. But if by “football” you mean “soccer”, then you must be referring to Europe. To my knowledge, racism in the American soccer programs has not been a factor — in part because it is only recently (since the women’s team’s Olympic success) that it has received much media attention. When Pele was playing in the US, obviously color was not a factor.
