Students are allowed to miss 8 hours of instruction. Missing time in excess of 8 hours will result in a loss of credit. Students and families should consult their personal calendars prior to enrollment to ensure the 8 hours will not be exceeded in the assigned 8 to 9 week Term. Medical appointments, day school activities in which Night School students participate or attend such as choir, drama, or athletics that conflict with NS classes WILL count against the allowed 8 hours. The Alternative High School format of Night School (no homework, small classes, engaged, hands-on methods) necessitates full attendance to complete the program of instruction. If a student exceeds 8 hours, he / she will be encouraged to register in the upcoming Term but will not receive credit in the current term and be dismissed.
