How firm is the restriction for academic appointments at the Assistant Professor level?
Applicants for the award must be within 3 years of their first appointment to the Assistant Professor (or equivalent) level. Tenure track appointment is not required. Physicians engaged in research are permitted one extra year of eligibility to allow for clinical responsibilities. Those who are not yet at the Assistant Professor level should not apply for this funding.
