How fattening is Chinese food?

Most of it is high in fats, and even sugars. Common dishes like orange chicken are the highest in fat and sugars. You can try steamed rice and veggies along with a little pepper steak, but even that should be eaten in moderation.

I think Chinese food can be VERY fattening. Fried rice is loded with carbs- and the ribs you’ve been gobbling down are way high in fat. Anything deep fried is going to be fatty. Chinese sauces tend to be oily and fatty. If you want to eat healthy, limit the amount of rice or noodles you eat, and go heavy on the fresh steamed veggies. Try lean cuts of chicken, beef or pork. Avoid the heavy/thick sauces I warned about earlier. Have you tried Vietnamese or Thai places yet? In general, they’re much healthier than the Chinese places.
