How fast would we hurtle off into space if gravity was suddenly turned off?

The first thing that would happen is that we would, together with the air, water, buildings, would spin off into space as the centrifugal force of the earth’s rotation would push us up. But the earth would explode as all of the heat and pressure in the center of the earth no longer had gravity to hold it into place. So I don’t know if the explosion would override the first effect or not. I suspect the explosion would take a few minutes to propogate upwards from the center of the earth, but I could be wrong. Sun would also explode into a super nova but that would also take some minutes. That would wipe out all of the fragments from the exploding planets. .
