How fast is the Phoenix wireless network?
The Phoenix Campus Wireless Network utilizes 802.11g technology which provides a maximum network “speed” of 54 Mbps (megabits per second) but actual data transfer speeds will be slower. How much slower depends on a number of factors such as the number of users sharing the same physical access point, distance between the wireless network card and the access point, and interference from items such as microwave ovens and cordless phones.
