How fast is MMS transmission from the Nokia 7210 to another MMS capable phone?
The speed of MMS transmission depends on the message size and the used bearer. For example: assuming a message size of 30kB and a GPRS bearer of net capacity 10 kbit/s gives t = (30kB*8bit/B)/(10kbit/s) = 240kbit /10kbit/s = 24 s. This would give a total transmission time of 48 seconds from the Nokia 7210 to server to receiving phone. However, since the individuals receiving the MMS messagesare not aware of the ongoing transmission before the whole message has been delivered, there is no delay perceived! Thus, MMS is perceived as very fast!
