Real-world performance is expected to vary greatly depending on the distance required. Although speeds of up to 480 Mbps are advertised, this is a theoretical maximum. It is reasonable to expect performance upwards of 50-100 Mbps at short range, with performance decreasing as distance increases. As more computing systems integrate native support for Wireless USB rather than using dongles or adapters, it is reasonable to expect performance approaching 200 Mbps and beyond.
