How fast does the Trac-Cab elevator car travel and what weight can it carry?
The Trac-Cab system is extremely flexible and can be configured to meet the customer’s requirements for Speed, Lifting Capacity and Cost. These factors are integrally related, and can be balanced to produce a system to meet most requirements. Maximum Speed is a function of Horse Power and Lifting Capacity. The faster the car travels, the less it can lift. Generally, a customer will choose a lifting capacity and then compromise speed vs. HP required to achieve it. 100 foot per minute travel is a popular speed and a good compromise for load carrying. A few other things to keep in mind: Even the most basic Trac-Cab system has superior lifting capacity and equivalent speed to a traditional cable system. And the Trac-Cab system can be configured to far exceed capacity and speed of any traction drive system that is currently available. No matter which maximum speed / lifting combination that you choose, the Trac-Cab system has a hydraulically controlled variable speed mechanism, allowing a f
