How Fast Can You Write a 10 Minute Play? Tuesday October 21, 2008 If you can finish a short script before November 15th, then you may wish to check out this recently submitted opportunity. The Hollywood Science Theatre is seeking 10 minute plays about the conflict in Iraq and the Middle East. The theater group’s goal is to collect the best ten plays, performing them simultaneously in New York and London. So, if you have something to say — or more importantly, if your characters have something to say — check out their website. No fee is required (though a modest donation is encouraged), and perhaps best of all, their list of rules is quite humorous. Example: “Contest open to citizens of earth including Canadians and Mathematicians.” It’s not everyday mathematicians are encouraged to enter playwriting contests!
