How fast can one package with a chamber machine?
Most Multivac chamber machines operate at a speed of 2 to 3 cycles per minute. The speed depends on – the product (dry, containing water, cold, warm) – the free chamber volume – the vacuum required – whether an inert gas atmosphere is necessary – the pouch material – the size of the vacuum pump. Depending on the type of machine and the pouch design, several pouches can be sealed at the same time per cycle. In the case of double-chamber machines, you load one chamber with pouches, while sealing is being carried out in the other chamber.
