The Ramblers` Group Walks Finder (go to http://www.ramblers.co.uk/walksfinder/search.php?advanced=1&group=IL2&zoomLevel=1 to find Hampstead Group walks) uses a 6-point scale for degree of difficulty. Practically all of the Group’s walks fall into one of two points on this scale – “Leisurely”, which means “Walks for reasonably fit people with at least a little country walking experience. May include unsurfaced rural paths” and “Moderate”, which means “Walks for people with country walking experience and a good level of fitness.
