Club Bali Moorea is in a bay so you first have to get out of the bay, 10-15 minutes on a bike. Then you have to swim/paddle outside of the reef to catch the waves. You definitely need to plan this as an activity. You cannot just pop your surfboard in the water at the Club Bali Moorea and paddle out to surf. Best is to get a rental car or catch a bus to one of the popular surf spots, i.e. Haapiti.
