How far is The Hague from Amsterdam?
It’s 45mins on a ‘good day’ I have to add and that is when the traffic doesn’t “suck” but is normal, and especially if you are coming from the centre of Den Haag We used to live on the border of Amstelveen and hubby worked in Voorburg (which is just close to the exit of the highway and therefore not having to deal with the city centre traffic). Leaving work at 16:00 it would take him 45mins, but could take anything up to 1hr 30mins to get home by car The traffic isn’t always busy. Outside of extended rush hour times you can drive without any traffic jams. However, the long commute (and especially the “stop/start” nature of the journey) was another good reason to move closer to Den Haag in the end. So if it’s just a day trip, then look to travel after 10:00, before 16:00 or after 19:00. Otherwise (and even easier especially if travelling and parking in the centre of both) then take the train.
