How far is it to the Blue Mountains?
From the City Centre (Town Hall) to Katoomba, the unofficial capital of the Blue Mountains, it is approximately one hour and forty five minutes. The distance is approximately 110 kilometres (70 miles) and the direction is west. These details are not terribly relevant on our tour as we do not scream straight up to the mountains but stop at several locations of interest before we get to Katoomba. In fact, it is often after 1p.m.
