How far is Great Parnassus from Coco Bongo etc?
I stayed next door to the Great Parnassus at the Le Meridian in early June this year. The hotel is located on a side street off of the main Hotel Zone Highway. To take the public bus to Coco Bongo and the other bars, you have to walk about 600 yards which takes about 5 minutes to get to the bus stop. The bus ride (6.5 pesos or 60 cents) is about another 10-15 Minutes depending on how many stops the bus makes. One evening we walked all the way back to the hotel from where the clubs are and it took around 2 hours, but we walked slowly. The airport is also about 15 minutes by car. We took a taxi and they charged us $50 from from the airport to the Hotel and $30 from the Hotel to the airport.
