How far is Amityville from the main part of NYC?
Its not far. Its out on Long Island. You can take the LIRR from Penn Station to Amityville. You might have difficulty finding the house as it has been remodeled numerous times since and looks NOTHING like the house in the movie. Time Square is in the middle of Manhattan. There are 5 boroughs that make-up the city of New York and I’m assuming you are staying in the borough of Manhattan. Amityville is a town on Long Island which is a region just outside of New York City.
