How far in advance will nurse collect labels print for continuing orders?
The labels and requisition for the first draw print at the time of order. Subsequent draws are printed according to Cerner’s exploding order routine. Every four hours, Cerner looks ahead twelve hours and prints the labels that will be needed in that time frame. Because of this, some labels will be printed as early as twelve hours before a draw.
