How far has the oil traveled to date?
The oil has traveled at least as far as Galesburg. There are conflicting reports whether it has entered Morrow Lake. To date, the EPA has identified oil slugs (large amounts) in Tallmadge Creek and the first 10 miles entering the Kalamazoo River downstream. Downstream 10-20 miles from the spill site there is a heavy sheen. Downstream 20-30 miles from the spill site a spotty sheen has been identified. The sheen has dissipated significantly since clean-up began.
