If your child is attending a secondary school and you live more than 2 miles from your nearest suitable school, you are entitled to free transport. If your child is attending a primary school and you live more than 1.5 miles from your nearest suitable school, you are entitled to free transport. This policy is more generous than the statutory requirements. If your child has a full time nursery placement and you live more than 1.5 miles away from your nearest suitable school, you are entitled to free transport. This policy is more generous than the statutory requirements. If your child is aged 16 to 19 years old and has a full time school or further education placement in a suitable establishment and you live more than 2 miles away, you are entitled to free transport. This policy is more generous than the statutory requirements.
