How far do badgers travel away from their sett?
Sometimes not very far at all (for example in winter, when they may leave just to use their latrines/toilets). At other times, badgers may travel up to a mile or more from the main sett – depending on their need to get food. Of course, badgers which are ejected from the sett (for example, by being bullied by the main boar), may travel longer distances to get away from the bullying until they can find somewhere to live in safety. They may be able to live in an adjoining territory or have to go further afield if no other badger clan wants to allow them to join.
