We will allow our horses to pull a carriage for about 10 kilometres (provided that there are no hills to travel up). The limiting factor is usually time, not distance, however, as the horse walks at approx 5km per hour. A distance of up to 5 km to the venue for weddings or formals is usually appropriate.
