The minimum code requirement is 14 feet with a maximum of 2-90 degree elbows. Every additional elbow subtracts two (2) feet from the maximum distance. The termination shall be in a non-screened eye-brow termination with a back draft damper. Note: If you are installing a specific model of dryer and that dryer allows for a longer run of vent piping then that specific model has to be in place at final and the manufacturer’s installation instructs shall be on site for the inspector to verify.
