How far back are RACs authorized to review claims?

0

A. A RAC is authorized to review claims up to 3 years following the date the claim was initially paid but no earlier than October 1, 2007. They may request up to 50 records every month per tax ID number. However, this limitation is under reconsideration. In the future, RACs may be able to request more records at a time or more frequently.
