How Fantastic Will Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Be?
I’m not a huge fan of 2005’s original Fantastic Four. It opened to $56 million and finished with a domestic cume of $154.7 million, so moviegoers disagreed with me. They also disagreed with critics who gave it only 26 percent Fresh reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Among my complaints were the dumb, sitcom-style dialogue, the fake looking Thing suit worn by Michael Chiklis (it looks like styrofoam) and what kind of producer casts the smoking hot Jessica Alba in a movie and then makes her invisible? Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer hits America’s multiplexes this Friday (June 15), and Fox has embargoed reviews until opening day, but a couple of clever Ain’t It Cool News-heads have managed to see the film and get reviews online.
