How expensive would it be to put a two story basement under a new construction home?
so basically you want to build a 20 ft high basement with beam pockets half way up and “I” beams supporting steel decking to support the garage floor…personally i think its do-able …if you have the bucks go for it…but not without input from an architect…use 12 in. blocks and grout them every 4 ft. with re-bar and whatever else the architect says to do…not gonna be cheap, but i like the idea…drains in the lowest level may be a problem , but thats what pumps are for…
