How expensive is it in Norway for beers and eating out? Has anyone been skiing there?
The downhill skiing is pretty mediocre in comparison to the Alps or the Rockies but the langlauf is OK. The cost of food and especially drink is absolutely horrendous. Try to eat your main meal at lunchtime since it is much more expensive in the evening. Carry as much duty free as you can. My son was out there training with the winter warfare commando (45) and the men almost mutinied at the cost of a few beers and a pizza.
