How exactly do I order wood in “Lumber” form online?
-Unless otherwise noted, all stock Lumber is listed with a “per board foot” price. (select pieces and standard size items will be listed with a “piece” price) -1 board foot =144 cubic inches -To calculate your desired board foot amount: (in inches) multiply length x width x thickness, and divide the total by 144 -this is your desired total board foot amount. -When adding lumber to your shopping cart, please enter your desired board foot amount (to the nearest foot) and we will contact you with the actual amount that will be sent to you (ex. if you order 25 BF of Bocote Lumber the actual amount may be 25.12 BF or 24.86 BF, etc.) -orders are filled using random sizes in the listed dimensions (unless other wise noted in the “comments” box upon checkout) to ensure the best possible stock and to reach the desired board footage ordered.
