There’s no need to hack when people willingly post their personal information on social networking sites – and don’t even change privacy settings so only friends can see it. A lot of information is available about people on the Internet simply from where they’ve willingly given out the information. The only advice I would give is be VERY careful about where details such as your full name, address, place of work/education are kept, and who has access to them. Call me paranoid, but I don’t even have my place of work or address displayed on any social networking sites – I never enter that information in the first place.
