I definitely wouldn’t recommend using castor oil; it’s a strong laxative that will stimulate your bowel and in doing so could stimulate contractions. This in itself wouldn’t induce labour, but the effect on your gut could be very unpleasant. Sex has always been recommended, as semen contains some prostaglandin, which is sometimes used to induce labour medically, and apparently nipple stimulation results in the natural release of oxytocin and is a proven non-medical method for inducing labour. But as my mother-in-law used to say, ‘When the apple’s ripe, it’ll drop!’ Good luck and I hope Baby Day is just ’round the corner! By the way, the site below is worth a visit.
