A 20 will throw a lot less shot than a 12. It’s fine at close range but the farther away the duck is the less shot you will have in the contact pattern and the thinner it will be. Unless you can call the ducks in real close, I’d be thinking a 12 rather than a 20.

I find a 12 guage is too big for my small frame, so the 20 is perfect for me.
