How effective have the stimulus funds been in solving our economic problems?

Real jobs are only created in the private sector. Government jobs do not produce any products or services that people want to buy; therefore they don’t produce any revenues to cover the salaries of the people doing those jobs. Our government is just running up the debt by charging those salaries to future generation. Every time the government steps in to solve our problems, it creates more inefficiency. It is no surprise, therefore, that this is exactly what the stimulus did. Government’s role is not to create jobs, but to create an environment which allows the private sector to flourish without interference.
