How effective are “pay to delete” letters to collection agencies?
It really depends on the Collections Agency or even who’s received the pay for deletion offer. If you don’t have success the first time, try again. Are you also trying to settle for a portion of the amount in collections? If so, you will likely have a tougher time getting them to accept. Just make sure that you get the PFD agreement in writing just in case the CA doesn’t hold up to its side of the deal.
