How easy would it be to put a new shock absorber on my car?

Hi If its a coil-over assembly (the shock absorber is located through the center of the road spring) then you will require a pair of coil spring compressors and a bucket of patience. You should also fit shock absorbers in pairs, otherwise there is a chance that the handling may be affected due to the conflict between the new shocker and the old one on the other side. Unless you’re fully confident (and competent) to do the job, then I would entrust the work to someone who is, particularly if its front shocks, because it will be coil-over, and ball joints will need to be split.
