How Easy Is It To Use Asset Tracking Software?
It is very easy to set up and populate asset tracking software if a decent package is purchased. The harder part is to assign the responsibility to staff to make sure that it is always kept up-to-date. Once the software has been installed on a computer or software, it needs to be filled with the information on all the assets that the company possesses (this is called ‘populating’). Someone within the company will probably need to spend time deciding how to groups the assets, and which assets should go on the system, which will be different for each company. If assets have previously been recorded on a spreadsheet or in another database, then it should be possible to import all the data in batches. If all the information is on paper, then it will need to be typed in manually.
