How easy is it to access Les Houches, Courmayeur and Verbier?
Les Houches Very easy. 15 min bus ride from Chamonix. Buses leave from Chamonix Sud bus station. You can also easily drive, it is well signposted. There is parking at the lift stations. There are 3 lift stations. Courmayeur 20 -30 minute trip. Free bus service is scheduled early in the morning, returning in the late afternoon. It leaves from the train station in the centre of town. There are limited seats so you need to pre-reserve. Check with the hut outside the train station for exact times and to book your seat. Easy with a car, you need to drive through the Mont Blanc Tunnel. You can get discounts on tunnel tickets, if you visit the main Compagnie du Mont Blanc pass office by the train station in town.
